How Reliable are FlipTites?

There’s nothing like hard proof to put a person’s mind at ease. So, to do just that, we strapped down our 20 foot extension ladder, the one we use at the shop to clean the gutters, to the roof rack of our car. We drove it around town and out on the back roads for 7 straight days. The straps experienced more than 120 miles of freezing snow, poring rain, and some extremely bumpy sections of road, because we needed know for a fact that the straps were up for the job. The vast temperature swings, weather elements, and excessive shaking did not have any effect on the worthiness of our FlipTite tie-down straps. They were tight the whole time and could have gone forever if we didn’t need the car for family stuff like hauling lumber, boats, and camping gear!
